Mindfulness Meditation Sessions

Mindfulness is a skill that develops with practice. Taking the time to practice mindfulness meditation on a regular basis, can help us to become more mindful in our day-to-day activities. Mindfulness can help us become aware of patterns of stress in our lives, and then give us the tools to choose new ways of being.

The practice of mindfulness meditation involves placing our focus on the breath, then observing each rise and fall of the breath. Naturally our minds will not stay focussed on the breath for long. Our minds inevitably wander away, and soon we will be thinking, or planning, or worrying.

The practice of mindfulness is to notice when our attention has wandered, and then gently and non-judgementally to bring our attention back to the breath.

As we begin mindfulness meditation practice, our minds will wander many, many times. We can experience many emotions and reactions to this, including frustration. However, it is important to remember that the moment that we are aware that our mind has wandered, we are practicing mindfulness. Then we simply return our attention to observing the breath, again and again and again.

Mindful meditation sessions are available online via skype or inhouse.

    Mindful Living provides the beginner with the base of a mindfulness practice; insights into how mindfulness works and an understanding and an introduction into mindfulness meditation practice.

    Mindfulness Level Two Course: Heart-full Living
    Heart-full living continues our mindfulness practices. Create a heartful life, through the cultivation of loving kindness and other heart centered life practices.

    Mindfulness Art Journaling
    In these sessions we explore mindfulness techniques and explore creativity through mindful art journaling. No need for any experience in art, I help you with the entire process - a small supply list will be provided when booking for the class.
